Health Books about infertility

What is infertility?

The International Council on Infertility Information Dissemination (INCIID) considers a couple to be infertile if: they have not conceived after a year of unprotected intercourse, or after six months in women over 35; there is incapability to carry a pregnancy to term. Healthy couples in their mid-20s having regular sex have a one-in-four chance of getting pregnant in any given month. This is called "fecundity".

Reviews:

Laughter is the best medicine
This book was meant not as a medical guide for infertility, but as a companion to the process. It's very witty and funny, and I no longer feel alone in my emotions and experiences. So many descriptions in the book fit me perfectly, and I keep telling my husband as I'm reading "Look, I'm not crazy! I'm not the only one!"
For those who give this book poor remarks because it's not factual enough, perhaps you should have read the back cover or the description of the book--it was plain to me what I was buying. And in response to another reader's comments, of course this book isn't for EVERYONE going through infertility; it's just for people who could use a laugh and a little encouragement along the way.
A Much Needed Laugh
After all the stress that infertility has brought on, it was good to get a break from it and read this book! I wasn't finding anything funny about infertility. But, I had to laugh at the Angry Ovulator (it was the perfect description of me) Also, I think I needed to step back and put it all in perspective. I was wound so tightly that I couldn't see that I was viewing pregnant friends as foes and obsessing over every detail. It helped to hear that other women are like me. I still am anxious and obssesive over having a baby. But, now when I turn into the Angry Ovulator I can look at myself and laugh - a little bit. I don't think anyone will get the medical info they need from this book. But, it is a story of friendship and understanding in the midst of infertility madness.
Excellent!!!
This book is fabulous. It was so good I had it read in about 3 days. It is great for those in the begining stages of infertility, as well as those in the emotional battle of fertility treatment. It really adds a bit of humor to a very sensitive subject. I recomend it for anyone who has been trying to have a baby for 6 months or more.
Funny AND Informative!
I ordered this book from the recommendation of someone on a bulletin board. What a pleasant surpise! The trials and tribulations of trying to conceive hit close to home, and were presented with warmth and humor. This book was also very informative on the steps you'll go through if you don't succeed in conceiving on your own. I recommend it if you or friend are trying to conceive, and especially if "infertility" treatments may be in your future.
A perfect mix of information and humor!
As a woman who is starting down the baby-making path, I found this book to be extremely informational as well as hilarious! It's very well written and really tells the truth as to the real struggles that woman are facing in the baby making process.

I loved it!
